:Personality:
Caleb is a lone wolf. After the disintegration of his parents relationship, to the point of trying to kill each other, he doesn't see much point in relationships of any kind and avoids them at all costs. This solitude has caused him to be sarcastic and sometimes even mean without realising it when confronted with other people. Caleb would prefer to spend the night with a bottle of alcohol than another person, mostly to help him not think about what might have become of his parents. Over the years the closest he's gotten to someone else was a middle-aged barman who he initially protected in exchange for information and weapons. Caleb didn't realise the man had become a friend until he was killed the night he was taken to work at the asylum.
:History:
Caleb was born from the short-lived love affair between Essence and Jason Todd. They were together while Jason was training with Essence and her clan, the all-caste (an ancient group of warriors), after his resurrection.
He was born a few months before Jason was exiled from the all-caste and was then raised by his mother and trained amongst the all-caste from birth just like his mother.
In his late teens Caleb left the all-caste in search of his father. Jason trained him in martial arts, firearms and swordsmanship as well as letting him fight alongside himself and the outlaws.
Caleb returned to his mother when Essence reached out to Jason about the demise of the all-caste. However it wasn't long before his parents were at each others throats and as soon as they started to turn on each other Caleb disappeared.
Ever since then Caleb has worked alone, seeing first hand from his parents how relationships can be made and broken in the blink of an eye. Caleb took on the same brand of vigilante justice his father had as the red hood, not afraid to use violence and kill criminals in the name of justice.
:Fears:
Commitment; Watching his parents almost kill each other, Caleb has a rather cynical view of love. He's scared that one day he'll fall in love and that love will destroy him like it did his mother.
The Darkness; Knowing of his grandmothers past, Caleb is worried about being taken over by the all-consuming darkness he can control.
Tornadoes; Inheriting his shadowy form from his mother, Caleb's childhood fear is that he would disappear if he got too close to such strong forces of nature.
