:Personality:
Sassy and independent, Riley has no trouble speaking her mind. Before her sisters death she was popular and carefree, living life to the fullest. Since then she's closed herself off from her old life and has become more protective of her family. She puts up a tough exterior in the company of strangers and bites back at anyone she deems as a threat to her family's safety. When on her own she tries to recapture her once carefree nature, but so far she has only been able to do so in animal form.
:History:
Riley grew up in a loving home, raised by both her parents and her fathers twin sister Betsy, who would babysit when her parents were away. She admired her aunts psychic powers, but knew she'd never swap her own metamorphic abilities to be psychic as she was proud of her own abilities.
When her twin siblings were born she was excited to be a big sister and when she turned 13 she was deemed mature enough by her parents to babysit on her own. However, one night when she was 15 and her parents were away, she watched her house go up in flames. Riley was asleep downstairs when she was woken by screaming, racing upstairs she found Ashlyn at the door of her bedroom staring in at Shaelyn who was lying unconscious on the floor. The room was quickly engulfed in flames and she knew her powers weren't enough to stop the fire, all she could do was get Ashlyn to safety as she heard sirens in the distance. Shaelyn was killed in the fire and to this day Riley doesn't know how the fire started.
The grief of losing Shaelyn hit her family hard and after the funeral they moved from England to America. Riley felt guilty for not being able to save Shaelyn so she became a lot more protective of Ashlyn, who in turn had become more reserved after the fire. Riley understands that Ashlyn dislikes her elemental powers because of the fire that took her twin from her, but is unaware of the real reason she dislikes her powers so much. Riley will bite back at anyone who messes with her sister so Ashlyn doesn't have to use her powers.
As she's grown older, Riley prefers to spend her time in the form of animals, her favourite being that of a large wolf. She knows animals are carefree and have few responsibilities and she uses her animal form to hide away from her own problems. She can spend days, sometimes weeks at a time in the form of another thanks to the superhuman durability she inherited from her father.
:Fears:
Loss; Riley fears losing someone else that she loves, so she rarely gets close to anyone. She's incredibly protective of those she does have in her life because of this.
Sharp Objects; Riley is scared of needles, knives and anything sharp.
The Hunt; Spending so much time in animal forms has caused her to adopt some of their baser instincts as a human, causing her to fear hunters and being killed in animal form.
