It felt like hours he was roaming through this Institution and Kilian didn't felt any smarter than before, in addition now he strayed through the gardens and was more disoriented than he feared, unaware how he even got here or how to get back. Well, it could be much worse. Some fresh air wouldn't hurt him. He strolled awkwardly across the lawn and leaned against a tree to inspect the big dark building in front of him where he got lost. This was the frustrating result of being locked away for months, the only good thing was that now he was informed what this place was thanks to Fenrir and could further think about how to get away from here. It would take some time of careful planning but it was the only thing he could think of, considering what their employers asked here of him. He was not willing to humble himself again, this he did too many times in his past for less important things like pills. No, this time he won't just witness the disaster. He folded his arms across his chest and took a deep breath of fresh air. Now being sober for almost 3 hours he felt so much better.
"Eeeep!" As much as Alex hated to admitt it, her clutzy side always decided to pop up when she least could handle it. Like now for example, having no memory of how the hell she even ended up at an asylum/whore house, feeling way worse than her hungover from when she turned 18, and hoping to all kinds of gods there was that she just wasn't suck in her own dream world again, her feet had decided to rebel agaisnt her and make her trip over herself. A couple of more minutes or so, and she'd start panicing for real. Right now she was more confused than anything. And apparently hungover... that's what she felt like. Spitting out the grass she had gotten from her not-so-graceful-fall, she forced herself back up, lookign around the garen with a wary and curious look. She hand't really dared asking anyone here for help, seeing as she's so far only ran into weirdos that did nothing but freak her out. "If this is another hallucination of mine... I'm never watching more spanish horror movies...."
Kilians meditative concentration came to an end when suddenly a person got in his way, stumbling right in front of him over the lawn. "Bugger me!" He drew back in surprise and stared at the girl, who lay at his feet, face down in the grass and mumbling something he didn't understand. He glanced around and then back to her, unsure if he should sneak away quietly before she'd notice him and leave her just where she was. Maybe she was the same kind of freak like Fenrir. Or even worse according to her soliloquies about spanish horror movies... Kilian raised an eyebrow and assessed what the best reaction would be. But at last he rejected all thoughts of escape and bended instead down a bit, carefully what would happen. "Excuse me, but are you alright?", he asked her when she raised her head and took a look around.
Hearign someone else than her speak up, made Alex jump in surprsie, almsot falling over herself again as she twirled around to face the other person. With a hand over her chest, and eyes wide in shock, she was more prepared to see another oen of thsoe maniac's she ahd run into before. But... this guy looked 'normal', and he lakced that bloodthirsty and carzed auora. "I'm uh... Not 'alright' exactly but, I'll manage..." she mumbled, chuckling a little nervously. "Sorry if I... disturbed you?" She fiddled with her hands, glancing around herself now and then as she wonderd on what to do. Should she keep on wanderign around? Or just... take a seat?
Kilian lost his sense of balance as the girl moved out of the sudden and fell backwards on the seat of his pants. He gave her an unreadable look, a bit surprised about how rattled she seemed to be. Not showing the slightest inclination to stand up he changed his position on the lawn and answered her unsettled: "No, you didn't disturb me..." He got a bit irritated because she sounded serious with her apology and he didn't expect anyone to apologize in here after meeting Fenrir. In addition she looked way more confused than he was actually what gave him the impression she wasn't up to seek trouble. Being split about the appreciation of the situation he hawked and said frowning according to her nervous chuckle: "Sorry, but - you seem to be a bit... ", he waited until he got her attention back. "... in a complete tizzy."
Alex wanted to curl in on herself as she caught the hint of irritation in the other's voice, and thus took a step backwards. Biting her lip, she kept glancing around the garden, wondering if there some kind of traps or anything of the sort lurking around here. Beacuse so far, this place screamed 'torture' everywhere she turned, and her already messed up imagination wouldn't allow her a moment to relax. "Huh?" she looked back at Kilian, still looking completley lost and blinked once at his statement. "Oh yeah, hahaha... well, mentally i'm not sure I'm fine, that's what I ment," she chuckled, mentally slapping herself when she realized to late how dumb that sounded. Now she'd surely seem to be one of the freaky ones... "I'm.... new, to this place you see...." she began slowly, starign down at her feet. "I'm not sure wether i'm just dreaming again or not..."
"I see", Kilian answered slowly and wondered what someone like her was doing here. As far as he could say she was a quiet distractable person who as all over the place, and he met a lot of those in his past. He saw some other female workers and they were acting and behaving totally different. He just thought of their gloomy looks and lackadaisical demeanors about something what scared himself. But this one looked like she was only afraid something would just jump out of the shrubbery to lash into her. Well, that was a apprehension he shared with ardor, so maybe she told the truth of being new at the institution. It was a bit like someone put a mirror in front of him where he was shown his own paranoia. "The first time I realized where I got involved I thought exactly the same thing", he added. He didn't know why he was even talking to her. He wasn't up to get to know the workers in here, but he had a strange need to prove... well, what exactly? "I'm kind of new, too." Kilian examined her cautious from below with raised eyebrows. She looked so lost, staring at her feet and reminding him of a little girl it made him sigh.
„Maybe you should take a breather?”, he suggested. “You could use it.”
"You're new as well?" she asked, feeling a little less uncomfortable as she dared giving him a smile. So far he's the only friendly face (at she hoped he was) she's had the fortune to run into. Even if she might be to annoying to hang around at the moment... hope he didn't mind too much if she stuck around? Beacuse, what else was she suppsoe to do? Alex was not planning on going to 'work' here, no matter what they may do to her... maybe... They've already scarred ehr for life either way. Oh hey, she was losing herself in her own thgoutsh again. Focus Alex, focus. Hesitating a bit, she slowly took a seat, afraid she might tripp over her own feet again and she's alreayd bruised her hands and knees enough for one day. "Sorry, i really hope i'm not abother or anything," she smiled, still nervous but a bit more relaxed than before. "Sooo... what's your name? If you don't mind me asking! ...I'm Alex."
Oh my... now I have her around my neck. That's what comes of being nice... It wasn't meant mean, he jus regretted he couldn't think further about his escape plan and in addition we wasn't used to talk to people anymore. "You know, actually I -", he ended in the middle of the sentence and pressed his lips together. It wouldn't make her feel comfortable if he would mention he actually meant by suggesting a breather not to do it at his side. But for the sake of being the last person in this place who would take revenge on her because she just thwarted his place and seemed scared, he pulled himself together and responded: "The name's Kilian." He tried to smile, too but it didn't work very well. Assuredly he didn't seem very sociable. What was normal in his case, but it made him feel kind of sorry when he saw the smile on her lips. He sighed another time and burried his hands in the grass. "So... was it just a coincidence to get in my way and fall face down on the lawn or did you do this on purpose?" Kilian thought this was the best way to start a dialogue after years of inexpertness concerning interpersonal relations.
Her smile fell slightly at his expression, already starting to feel less welcomed and stupid for being a bother. Who was she to so openly invite herself to join him anyway? Surely he has his own fair share of problems to deal with than care about some lost, klutzy girls like herself. Wow... thoughts running wild there again, only managing to make herself feel even more depressed. Sighing softly, she wa sjust about to excuse herself and leave him to his own, but stopped when he to her relief introduced himself anyway. Smilging more brightly this time, she leaned back a little on her spot. Only to blink and blush slightly in embarrassment at his next question. "W-what..? Oh gosh, of course not!" she excalimed, laughing at herself and her stupid balance. "I-I was just, to lost in my own thoguths to even notice anyone else around me... Sorry, that tends to happen with me alot, I don't even know if I'm awake right now and... well, no, it was an accident I swear," she rambled on.
Observing Alex' face was like watching TV. Her whole facial expression stated of what she was thinking - what was weird but fascinating at the same time. And when she started to blush and laugh Kilian was even a bit amused about it. "Well, outherwise it would have been a bit weird", he answered hawking again. Although he envisaged something similar in a place like this, without a doubt. He folded his hands in his lap and wanted to continue when he suddenly noticed his knickers were hitched up and exposed his bicep curls were the dark bruisings due to the injection needles for his dope clearly were recognisable. With an resigned look he rolled down his sleeves, hoping she didn't notice it that much and signed afterwards to the baleful institution bulding. "You're right. It's hard to realize you're awake at a place full of nightmares like this." She may was a bit peculiar, blabbering about her own thoughts, but Kilian was thankful she didn't seem to belong to the real weirdos as far as now.
Alex offerd him a smile again, not really knowing what else to say. She was already rambling on to much anyways, better calm down before she nags his ears off or something. Casually glancing down at his hands, she couldn't help but take notice of the bruises on his biceps and such. She quikly aveterd her eyes when he rolled down his sleeves, mentally slapping herself for being so damn curious. "Uh yeah, exactly! Although, it's a normal occurence for me so... I can't even tell if I'm awake... right now..." she trailed off, glancing carefully down at his arms before quickly looking away again.
"A bad habit", he said fainty ashamed as he catched her noticing of his bruises. He didn't treat his addiction as a big secret but he wasn't up to spell it out for everyone. It was difficult enough for him to handle it, the last thing he wanted was to handle aware people as well. When Alex began to prattle his eyes jerked up from his arms in surprise to watch her while listening to what she had to say. "Wait a minute", he almost interrupted her immediatly and gave her a doubting look like he was concerned with a moonstrucked weirdo. "The thing of being unaware if you're still asleep or not about you're always blabbering... you're really serious about that, right?" Either she was kidding him or she was a bit batty. He wondered if he would regret engaging her in a conversation.
"I see..." Alex mumbled out sympathetically, able to lsit down alot of abd habbits she herself had. To much to count. Woops, losing track there again. Fumbling with ehr hands again, she allwoed ehr brown eyes to wander over the garden, unable to see the beauty in it at the moment. But that wasn't so weird was it? Considering her current situation and all... Pretty or not, a prison was still a prison. She immediently turned ehr focus back on Kilian when he almost interupted her, blinking a couple of times as if confused at first. "Huh? Oh well... yeah," she said sheepishly, now feeling more stupid than minutes before. This is why she kept telling herself to stop talking. She always managed to make herself look weirder than she was. Even though she only was stating the truth... But people didn't need to know, right? "I'm not crazy or anything, weird yeah, but not mentally inanse!" she quickly assured him. "I just... have a very lively and at times out of control imagination. And I sometimes have a little trouble telling the difference bewteen dream and reality..." Her cheek heated up in shame as she said this, and with a forced smile she turned her head away from Kilian.
Kilian slowly nodded while she was talking, but his look on her was still sceptically. He never met a person who was that lively and even talked in that way like she did, he almost felt a mental overload due to that. Blinking several times in quiet confusion he tried to attach a logical meaning to her explanation, but just for now he decided not to overtax himself. "Wow, okay, I believe you're not mentally insane!", he conceded, trying not to show he did just judge her in that case, but he wasn't willing to make feel her more uncomfortable than necessary. "I assure you you're wide awake at the moment. So..." He ended when she looked away from him, her fake smile seemed somehow smittened. Seeing her that confused in a beautiful place like this garden was weird and even a bit moving. He got reminded of his own confronting with this torturechamber, people not believing him and suddenly felt slightly guilty. He recollected himself and continued with softer voice. "... getting lost in your own imagination seems to be a hard challenge. But... well, you have to calm down a bit, okay? There's no reason for being that churning yet, I promise."
