Kilian gave Alex a suggestive look. “I think we have to take that risk by every time, so we better watch out.” He wished he could assure her that was not the case, but the truth looked way different. It was strange she asked him about the circumstances in here, he was maybe just as clueless as she regarding the institution and its inhabitants. In fact he even didn’t know how to react if one of those trouble seeking weirdos would appear right behind the next shrubbery. The likeliest scenario maybe was that he would freeze in shock right where he was, unable to do anything and Alex falling right down in fright on her face again… Oh god. What a nightmare. The unawareness and insecurity surrounding them was quiet daunting. With a bad vibe he went ahead, eyes on the dark building next to them and gauged the distance to a high wall which girdled the garden and the institution itself.
He remembered the collars would react with shockings when the workers tried to leave the area just as trying to use their powers. So he pointed over to the old piles and said: “Be careful by stepping too close to the wall. I fear our collars would discharge in that case.” He stopped and held his hand over his eyes against the sun to estimate how high the bricks were built up, but a flight in general wouldn’t be successful yet as long as they had to wear those damn collars…
“… if we would have to wear our collars around our wrists I would chop off my hand and instantly teleport”, Kilian stated and turned his head on Alex, still observing the vicinity behind her so nothing could surprise them. “I think we have to get rid of them, otherwise nothing would work afterwards. What do you think?”
